An obligatory album for all Jethro Tull fans to own.
This album is about the losers in the society like the
tramp(Aqualung) or the child prostitute(Cross-Eyed Mary).
Due to some rage Ian Anderson got against the Church of
England at the time the album also included some protest songs
regarding this as well.
You will probably not listen to this album when you're in
a cheerfull mood, rather when you're in a reflected mood.
Jennie Anderson, Ian's first wife is credited partly
for the text of the song Aqualung.
According to Ian Anderson this is NOT a concept album, since
the songs was written during a long period and was not meant to
belong together.
